Custom Print Questions, Answered
Everything you need to know about ordering branded products from Brandevois. Minimums, artwork, decoration methods, timing and pricing, in plain terms. If you don’t see your question, send it over.
Ordering and minimums
What’s the minimum order quantity?
Minimums vary by product and are shown on each product page next to the pricing tiers. Apparel usually starts lower than drinkware or pens, and the price per piece drops as you move up a tier. Brandevois sells in bulk only, so there’s no single-piece option.
Can I mix sizes within one order?
Yes. On apparel, you can split your quantity across sizes and the total counts toward the minimum and the pricing tier. A 48-piece order can be 12 small, 18 medium, 12 large and 6 XL. Colors are handled per product, so check the product page for what can be combined.
Can I order more than one product at once?
You can. Add each product to your cart with its own quantity and artwork, and check out once. Each product has its own minimum, so a bundle of shirts, hats and tumblers needs to meet the minimum on each line. Proofs are sent per product.
Do you sell single pieces or samples?
No. Brandevois is built for bulk orders, and pricing is structured around that. Decorated samples aren’t available as single pieces. If you’d like to see the blank product before committing, contact us and we’ll walk you through the materials, sizing and fit.
How do reorders work?
Reorders follow the same process as your first order, but we keep your approved proof on file, so placement and colors match the previous run. Send the product, quantity and any size changes, and you’ll get a confirmation proof and price before production begins.
Artwork and proofs
What artwork files should I send?
Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF with outlined text) give the sharpest result on every decoration method. A high-resolution PNG or JPG at 300 dpi works for full-color printing. If all you have is a small web logo, send it and we’ll tell you what’s possible before you order.
Do I get a proof before production?
Yes, on every order and at no charge. You’ll receive a visual proof showing your logo on the product with placement, size and colors marked. Production doesn’t start until you’ve approved it, so you’ll always know what you’re getting before anything is decorated.
Can I request changes to the proof?
Yes. Reply with what you’d like moved, resized or recolored and we’ll send a revised proof. There’s no limit on revisions and no charge for them. Keep in mind the production window starts on the day you approve the final proof, not the day you order.
Can you match my brand colors?
Yes. Send Pantone references or hex codes with your artwork and we’ll match them as closely as the decoration method allows. Embroidery uses thread colors, so we’ll pick the nearest match and show it on the proof. Full-color print holds the widest range of exact colors.
Can I put different logos on the same order?
Yes, within the same product. A left-chest logo and a back print, or a front logo and a sleeve tagline, are common. Each location is priced on the product page. If you need different artwork on different pieces, request a quote and we’ll set it up.
Decoration methods
What’s the difference between embroidery, full color, screen print and laser?
Embroidery stitches your logo in thread and suits hats, polos and jackets. Full-color print reproduces gradients and photos on apparel and drinkware. Screen print lays down solid ink colors and is the standard for tees in volume. Laser engraving etches the surface of metal drinkware and pens for a permanent, tone-on-tone mark.
Which method should I choose?
Follow the product page. Each product lists the methods it supports and the one we recommend. As a rule, embroidery for structured headwear and outerwear, screen print or full color for tees and totes, laser for stainless drinkware and pens, and pad print or sublimation for smaller or shaped items.
How many colors can my logo have?
Full-color print, sublimation and laser have no color limit, since laser produces a single-tone mark. Screen print and pad print charge by the number of ink colors, and that’s built into the price shown for each option. Embroidery supports multiple thread colors within one design.
Will the print hold up to washing?
Yes, when cared for like any decorated garment. Screen print and embroidery hold up through regular machine washing inside out on cold. Full-color print does well with the same care. Laser engraving on drinkware is permanent and won’t fade, chip or wash off.
What is debossing?
Debossing presses your logo into the surface of a material, leaving a recessed, tone-on-tone impression. It’s used on leather-style goods, notebooks and some bags for a subtle, premium look. It works best with simple, bold artwork and is listed on products where it’s available.
Production and shipping
How long does production take?
It depends on the product and the decoration method. Embroidery, screen print, full color and laser engraving each run on their own schedule, so the timing for your order is confirmed on your proof before anything is produced. Every window covers decoration, a final inspection and packing.
How long does shipping take?
Orders ship nationwide, fast, with tracking sent the moment the order leaves. Shipping is part of the timing you’ll see on your proof, so you have one complete picture from approval to delivery.
Can you rush my order?
No. Every order follows the schedule for its decoration method, which is how we keep quality and pricing consistent from the first piece to the last. If you have a fixed date, tell us when you send artwork and we’ll confirm on the proof whether the timing works.
How should I plan for an event date?
Work backward from the event. Send your artwork early, allow a day or two for proof review, then add the turnaround shown on your proof. Ordering a few weeks ahead leaves comfortable room, and telling us the date up front means we can flag any concern before you commit.
Do you ship to multiple addresses?
Standard orders ship to one address. If you need pieces sent to several offices or to individual recipients, request a quote and include the addresses and quantities for each. We’ll confirm what’s possible and price the shipping before you commit.
Pricing and payment
How is pricing calculated?
Every product shows an all-in price per piece at each quantity tier. That price includes the product, decoration in the location and method you choose, and any color or setup work. Move up a tier and the per-piece price drops. What you see on the page is what you pay.
Are there setup fees?
No. Brandevois doesn’t charge setup fees, screen charges or artwork fees, and there’s nothing added at checkout beyond shipping. Those costs are built into the per-piece price on every product, which is why the number on the product page is the number you’ll pay.
How do I pay?
Orders are paid by card at checkout through a secure payment page. You’ll receive an order confirmation right away and your proof shortly after. If you’d prefer to review a proof before paying, request a quote and we’ll send the proof and price first.
Can I get a quote for a large or unusual order?
Yes. For quantities above the top tier shown, multiple decoration locations, mixed products or anything not listed on a product page, use the quote request. Include the product, quantity, artwork and any deadline, and we’ll return a proof and all-in price within one business day.
Do prices include shipping?
Product pricing covers the piece and its decoration. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your order size and destination, and shown before you pay. Quotes for large orders include shipping in the total, so there’s a single number to approve.
