Custom camper mugs in a 15 oz hard-coated ceramic with a speckled glaze, a black halo rim and a slightly flared top, in Black, Navy Blue, Red and White. It’s the bigger sibling of the classic tin-cup camp mug, for lodges, outfitters, roasters and offices that want a mug with some heft and a print that sits clean on the speckle.

The top flares out a touch so coffee pours cleanly and spills less, and a thin black band around the rim frames the speckle the way the old enamel cups did. The inside is glazed white, so the drink looks the way it should and the outside color stays the star. The body is heavy ceramic under a hard coat that keeps the glaze from scratching on a dish rack or a truck console.

Fifteen ounces is a proper pour, more than a standard 11 oz mug and a couple of ounces more than the classic camp cup, in walls thick enough to hold heat on a cold morning. The C-handle takes a full grip, gloves included, and the weight in the hand reads as a keeper rather than a giveaway. It ships 24 to a case, so a 72 piece order is three clean cases.

The front carries a 2.5 by 1.5 inch print area, sized for a logo and a line beneath it. A one color screen print is included and holds crisp over the fleck; a light ink on Navy Blue or Black and a dark ink on White or Red read from across the room. Full color is there when the artwork has more than two colors, a gradient or a photo. You’ll see the placement and the ink on the proof before a single mug is printed.

01 / 03
The mug on the welcome-cabin shelf that goes home in a guest’s bag.
A camper mug that carries the mark from the trailhead to the kitchen.
A speckled 15 oz mug that looks right beside the bags on the retail shelf.
A gift with character that earns a spot on a desk.
72 mugs, and all four colors can mix inside that number. The per-piece price steps down at 144, 288, 576 and 1,008, with the print and the proof included at every tier. For a smaller run, our custom camp mugs in the 13 oz size start at 36.
It holds 15 oz instead of 13, the top flares slightly with a black halo rim, and the inside is glazed white. The print area is a little smaller, 2.5 by 1.5 inches, which suits a logo with one line under it. Both are speckled ceramic in the campfire style.
Ceramic, with the look of enamel. The speckle and the black rim come from the glaze, and underneath is fired ceramic with a hard coat, so it holds heat longer than a tin cup, feels heavier in the hand and never chips through to metal. Unlike enamel it can go in the microwave.
One light ink on Navy Blue or Black, such as white, cream or a pale brand color, and one dark ink on White or Red. The speckle is fine enough that a solid logo reads cleanly over it. Full color prints are backed so the artwork stays true on every mug color.
Hand wash is the safe answer. The hard coat protects the speckle, but a printed mug that skips the dishwasher keeps its logo sharp for years longer, and a rinse is all it takes.
